All in the Name
The Red Willow Center name is inspired by the value of the native plant also known as Red Osier Dogwood, American Dogwood or Redstem Dogwood. Native Peoples had many uses for Red Willow including making dream catchers and baskets. Red Willow bark is an important herb used during times of ceremony. It signifies respect, kinship, and connection when used as a part of the mixture for the Sacred Pipe.
