Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Viviane is a licensed clinical professional counselor with over ten years of experience and a diverse cultural background. She knows how important it is to look at a person as an integrated being; how eclectic and holistic approaches can improve the quality of life in all its aspects; how healing and transformative a positive relationship can be. She brings herself to the therapeutic process in a genuine and authentic way – as a world traveler, yoga instructor, mom, singer, human being. She utilizes a blend of evidence-based modalities including behavioral and mindfulness-based interventions, existential and humanistic approaches, also incorporating yoga and breathing techniques.
Viviane was raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology. After a sabbatical travelling the world, living minimally, volunteering, and getting to know other cultures and ways of life, she came to live in her husband’s hometown of Missoula. The outdoorsy lifestyle as well as the sense of community motivate her to invest herself further, making this an even better place for current residents and future generations to come.
As a person-centered counselor, she will join you in a collaborative process to explore and resolve the obstacles to your growth and healing. Through compassion, empathy, and trust, she can help you find strength to make changes toward a more positive future, to feel better with yourself and the world around you. Being aware and accepting yourself will help you get there. Viviane’s work experience includes maternal mental health, post-partum, acculturation process, anxiety and depression, communication and relationship difficulties.
