Kati Burton is the founder and provider for Burton Nutrition, PLLC.
Kati will help you and your family develop lifelong habits to prevent and treat illness, reduce pain, recover from injury, improve athletic performance, understand reactions to food, and reestablish eating relationships.
A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Licensed Nutritionist (LN) in the state of Montana, Kati hopes to help her patients and clients understand and apply important lifesaving nutrition advice given by their doctor, other health provider, or directly from her. She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech and completed an accredited, supervised practice program at Montana State University and Kalispell Regional Medical Center. In 2015, Kati passed the national examination for RDN’s administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and participates in continuing professional education in pediatric and maternal nutrition, special feeding challenges, traditional food ways of Native Americans, microbiome health, plant-based nutrition intervention, among many other topics.
Kati lived and worked on a biodynamic, diversified vegetable farm in southwest Virginia, planting, harvesting, cooking and distributing produce through community supported agriculture (CSA) and local restaurants for several seasons during her college years. She recounts moments of sticky young faces smiling through half-eaten heirloom tomatoes or grilling gleaned, local sweet corn at area parks for passersby. It is in these events where she learned that earth’s nutrition can be preventative and healing. Since her days in the field, she now provides one-on-one counseling and group education for all populations and topics. Kati practices as an independent counselor as well as a nutrition educator for state and local programs. If you would like Kati to talk about food and nutrition or provide a demonstration, please send her an email with details.
